i've got the rhs swing arm welding started. the fillet welds are just being laid down. will take about four more passes before the fillets are as thick as i would like before i start hand profiling all of them. last photo shows the cut and shut weld job that is reinforced with a 10" 4130 steel sleeve that has been tig welded in place. chinese engine has been fitted for mockup purposes.

Honda C70 Passport Chop (more shit that i do when i'm bored).
bad night time photos of my new project 1972 honda c70. main frame shortened by 2" (internally strengthened with .156" 4130 moly aircraft steel from aircraft spruce & tig welded). head tube severely raked. swing arm fabricated with a 6" extension. all tack welded together. now i have to get the head tube reinforced with a few tig welds before laying down some massive fillet welds. the rear swing arm (.120") will be further buttressed before massive fillet welds will be added; cross brace for the swing arm will be added tomorrow. all fillets will be hand profiled. overall i will have two to three pounds of low fuming bare brass added as fillets. photos will be added to show progress.
need to fabricate handlebar risers. i think clip on style bars would look sweet but make the riding position impossible for anything farther than a few block ride.
to be continued.
